If I don’t shave on occasion, an itchy beard will grow,
  so I shaved this morning, even though I’ve no place to go.
I used more cream than needed, but didn’t really care,
  if it runs out, nobody will see my graying facial hair.

During lock-down, it’s important to keep a hygienic routine,
  keep our cages orderly, bodies relatively clean.
This morning I was feeling squirrely, and a little bit bold,
  and decided to take a shower, not hot but icy cold.

 Upon hopping in, I panted heavily and clawed the tile,
  then strangely enough, my body got used to it after a while.
I can’t say that a cold shower is for everybody, or the faint of heart,
  but if you want try something refreshing, cool water is the place to start.

Cold dips have been known to make people live longer,
  it invigorates the skin and makes hair grow stronger.
Yes, benefits abound, but this drill will not be repeated,
  my next shower will be with water that’s been heated!

Ahh, now ready for the day, back in my pajamas,
  thinking of my happy place on a beach in the Bahamas.
