Gratitude
A front line medical worker and her family live across the street.
Their mom was honored by the family in a way that’s not discreet.
They hung hearts in the trees and drew murals on the street.
To contribute support, we scrawled “Thank You” on our concrete.
For those lacking in concrete driveways,
appreciation can be shown in many other ways.
For example, print a thank-you note and tape it to the wall,
then take a picture and post it on your other wall.
Online gratitude can lift somebody’s spirits, including mine.
Saying thanks now is so much easier than in 1999!
People all over are being generous and doing more than their part.
To see so many forms of appreciation warms the cockles of my heart.
