Once during this pandemic, I clicked on the Facebook frown
  in reply to a clod who was thankful that mass shootings are down.
I like authentic thankful posts, the ones crafted with care,
  like recent quiet skies overhead and the crystal-blue air.

I am thankful for the postman who delivers a virus-free letter,
  and for staying six feet apart, although twenty would be better.
I am thankful for my comfy chair, and a window in which to sit;
  just add dear friends, food, and water, and that’s about it.
